Morrison, Alfred Ernest2. Dec. 1915Alf was born in Tower Street East Hills where the family lived after the death of his grandparents Henry Harrison and Elizabeth Briscoe.
3. Jul. 1918When he was christened the family was living at "Ellan Vannin" in Leonard Street Bankstown
bt 1937 - 1940He lived with his Aunt Sylvia at 72 Macauley Aveneue Bankstown while being apprenticed as a carpenter
bt 1940 - 1945He enlisted after the outbreak of WW2 and joined the 2/12 Field Company 8th Division. After being posted to Malaya he was captured by the Japanese and spent three and a hlf years as a POW in Changi prison and on the Burma Railway.
Jun. 1946On returning from the war he lived with his mother at 30 High Street Bankstown
13. Jul. 1946He married Norma Beryl Bray at the Congregational Church in Greenfield Parade Bankstown
bt 1947 - 1951Alf built the family's first home at 4 Auburn Road Bankstown
3. Nov. 1949He was received into Free Masonry at The Sir Joseph Banks Lodge (No 300) in Restwell Street Bankstown
bt 1951 - 1957Alf moved the family to Narooma where he worked a a house building contractor.
bt 1958 - 1968Moving back to Sydney Alf built a family home at 19 Moira Street Sutherland
bt 1968 - 1988Alf and Norma moved to Sawtell where he built a home at 7 Seventeenth Avenue before retiring.
bt 1988 - 1995With failing health due to his war experience he retired to the Central Coast of NSW at Kanwal and then The Masonic Vilage at Gorokan where he was closer to his family
6. Sep. 1995He died of respiratory failure at Wyong Hospital
c 1996His ashes were interred at the RSL Memorial Park, Toukley.
