After the War

After the War she married Clyde John Thomas Bruce and lived with her parents at Cairns Street Herne Bay (now Riverwood). With the death of her father in 1948 she became the main carer for her aging mother while raising her two daughters.

After her mother, Violet, passed away at the Hammondville Nursing Home Joyce and Clyde moved to Valley Heights in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, where they retired and lived happily until her death in 2000.
